The project has a need for interns to work on specific project elements. There are numerous of opportunities covering all aspects of sustainability, regional planning, communications etc. Currently, we have two items that need attention. One is arts and cultural and how they add to sustainable livable communities. The deliverable would be a report with 6 to 10 recommendations for communities to incorporate cultural into their community. The work with entail research, review of the statewide report on the economic impact of the Arts, and stakeholder/focus group meeting with local arts councils. The second one is work related to the local foods. This would primarily consist of a few stakeholder interview, a review of all food assessments and studies for the state and region, and recommendations for regional actions.Contact the project manager Mark E. I have a student at our high school that will be graduating in June 2013 — I think he would be very interested in an opportunity to be an intern and be able to work with one of the projects. Would he simply contact Mark Kirstner or is there an application process? Isaac is a very bright young man and would be a definite asset to the group.
