Why does this project cover 12 counties? If I live in Davie County might I consider myself part of a region that includes Iredell? When we here the term Triad we think Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem. If you are up on your North Carolina geography you know that the state is generally divided into the mountains, Piedmont and coastal regions. But what about the Piedmont Triad. Below are three factors that define the region: political boundaries, commuting patterns and our highway network. There are others that will be posted here and on the Data Hub. Maybe you have an idea, if so let us know.
